Up Close with Bill Ritter and Liz Cho airs Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m. on Channel 7, WABC-TV in New York City.
NEW YORK CITY (WABC) -- On this episode of "Up Close," U.S. Senator from New Jersey Cory Booker speaks out on a divided country.
Booker has been senator since 2013 and now he's considered one of the potential democratic candidates for president, come 2028.
He wonders why our political rhetoric these days is so hot and filled with vitriol, so how would he change that? We ask Booker in this episode.
We also talk to two members of the House, Republican Mike Lawler and Democrat Josh Gottheimer.
While they are from different parties and different states, they try to work together in Congress to compromise, and then pass legislation in the House.
So, how do we get more Americans with widely different views to unite for the common good? We'll ask them that in this episode.
